DESCRIPTION:Ἅγιοι\, ἑορταί\, καὶ Ἀναγνώσεις – Παρασκευή\, 13 Ιουνίου 2025\nἍγιοι καὶ ἑορταί: Τῃ Παρασκευῃ μετά τήν Πεντηκοστήν; Ἀκυλίνα Μάρτυς; Τρίφυλλος\, ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Λευκωσίας\nΚατάλυσις Πάντων\nἈνάγνωσις Ἐπιστολῆς: Ρωμ. 2:14-28\nἈδελφοί\, ὅταν γὰρ ἔθνη τὰ μὴ νόμον ἔχοντα φύσει τὰ τοῦ νόμου ποιῇ\, οὗτοι\, νόμον μὴ ἔχοντες\, ἑαυτοῖς εἰσιν νόμος· οἵτινες ἐνδείκνυνται τὸ ἔργον τοῦ νόμου γραπτὸν ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις αὐτῶν\, συμμαρτυρούσης αὐτῶν τῆς συνειδήσεως\, καὶ μεταξὺ ἀλλήλων τῶν λογισμῶν κατηγορούντων ἢ καὶ ἀπολογουμένων\, ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ὅτε κρινεῖ ὁ θεὸς τὰ κρυπτὰ τῶν ἀνθρώπων\, κατὰ τὸ εὐαγγέλιόν μου\, διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ. Ἴδε σὺ Ἰουδαῖος ἐπονομάζῃ\, καὶ ἐπαναπαύῃ τῷ νόμῳ\, καὶ καυχᾶσαι ἐν θεῷ\, καὶ γινώσκεις τὸ θέλημα\, καὶ δοκιμάζεις τὰ διαφέροντα\, κατηχούμενος ἐκ τοῦ νόμου\, πέποιθάς τε σεαυτὸν ὁδηγὸν εἶναι τυφλῶν\, φῶς τῶν ἐν σκότει\, παιδευτὴν ἀφρόνων\, διδάσκαλον νηπίων\, ἔχοντα τὴν μόρφωσιν τῆς γνώσεως καὶ τῆς ἀληθείας ἐν τῷ νόμῳ· ὁ οὖν διδάσκων ἕτερον\, σεαυτὸν οὐ διδάσκεις; Ὁ κηρύσσων μὴ κλέπτειν\, κλέπτεις; Ὁ λέγων μὴ μοιχεύειν\, μοιχεύεις; Ὁ βδελυσσόμενος τὰ εἴδωλα\, ἱεροσυλεῖς; Ὃς ἐν νόμῳ καυχᾶσαι\, διὰ τῆς παραβάσεως τοῦ νόμου τὸν θεὸν ἀτιμάζεις; Τὸ γὰρ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ διʼ ὑμᾶς βλασφημεῖται ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν\, καθὼς γέγραπται. Περιτομὴ μὲν γὰρ ὠφελεῖ\, ἐὰν νόμον πράσσῃς· ἐὰν δὲ παραβάτης νόμου ᾖς\, ἡ περιτομή σου ἀκροβυστία γέγονεν. Ἐὰν οὖν ἡ ἀκροβυστία τὰ δικαιώματα τοῦ νόμου φυλάσσῃ\, οὐχὶ ἡ ἀκροβυστία αὐτοῦ εἰς περιτομὴν λογισθήσεται; Καὶ κρινεῖ ἡ ἐκ φύσεως ἀκροβυστία\, τὸν νόμον τελοῦσα\, σὲ τὸν διὰ γράμματος καὶ περιτομῆς παραβάτην νόμου; Οὐ γὰρ ὁ ἐν τῷ φανερῷ Ἰουδαῖός ἐστιν\, οὐδὲ ἡ ἐν τῷ φανερῷ ἐν σαρκὶ περιτομή.\nἈνάγνωσις Εὐαγγελίου: Κατὰ Ματθαῖον 5:33-41\nΕἶπεν ὁ Κύριος· Πάλιν ἠκούσατε ὅτι ἐρρέθη τοῖς ἀρχαίοις\, οὐκ ἐπιορκήσεις\, ἀποδώσεις δὲ τῷ Κυρίῳ τοὺς ὅρκους σου.᾿Εγὼ δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν μὴ ὀμόσαι ὅλως· μήτε ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ\, ὅτι θρόνος ἐστὶ τοῦ Θεοῦ· μήτε ἐν τῇ γῇ\, ὅτι ὑποπόδιόν ἐστι τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ· μήτε εἰς ῾Ιεροσόλυμα\, ὅτι πόλις ἐστὶ τοῦ μεγάλου βασιλέως· μήτε ἐν τῇ κεφαλῇ σου ὀμόσῃς\, ὅτι οὐ δύνασαι μίαν τρίχα λευκὴν ἢ μέλαιναν ποιῆσαι. ἔστω δὲ ὁ λόγος ὑμῶν ναὶ ναί\, οὒ οὔ· τὸ δὲ περισσὸν τούτων ἐκ τοῦ πονηροῦ ἐστιν. ᾿Ηκούσατε ὅτι ἐρρέθη\, ὀφθαλμὸν ἀντὶ ὀφθαλμοῦ καὶ ὀδόντα ἀντὶ ὀδόντος· ᾿Εγὼ δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν μὴ ἀντιστῆναι τῷ πονηρῷ· ἀλλ᾿ ὅστις σε ῥαπίσει ἐπὶ τὴν δεξιὰν σιαγόνα\, στρέψον αὐτῷ καὶ τὴν ἄλλην· καὶ τῷ θέλοντί σοι κριθῆναι καὶ τὸν χιτῶνά σου λαβεῖν\, ἄφες αὐτῷ καὶ τὸ ἱμάτιον· καὶ ὅστις σε ἀγγαρεύσει μίλιον ἕν\, ὕπαγε μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ δύο·

They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts\, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them on that day when\, according to my gospel\, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus. But if you call yourself a Jew and rely upon the law and boast of your relation to God and know his will and approve what is excellent\, because you are instructed in the law\, and if you are sure that you are a guide to the blind\, a light to those who are in darkness\, a corrector of the foolish\, a teacher of children\, having in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth – you then who teach others\, will you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing\, do you steal? You who say that one must not commit adultery\, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols\, do you rob temples? You who boast in the law\, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? For\, as it is written\, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.” Circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law; but if you break the law\, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. So\, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law\, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? Then those who are physically uncircumcised but keep the law will condemn you who have the written code and circumcision but break the law. For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly\, nor is true circumcision something external and physical.\nGospel Reading: Matthew 5:33-41\nThe Lord said\, “You have heard that it was said to the men of old\, ‘You shall not swear falsely\, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.’ But I say to you\, Do not swear at all\, either by heaven\, for it is the throne of God\, or by the earth\, for it is his footstool\, or by Jerusalem\, for it is the city of the great King. And do not swear by your head\, for you cannot make one hair white or black. Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil. You have heard that it was said\, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you\, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek\, turn to him the other also; and if any one would sue you and take your coat\, let him have your cloak as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile\, go with him two miles.”
