Νυνὶ δὲ χωρὶς νόμου δικαιοσύνη θεοῦ πεφανέρωται\, μαρτυρουμένη ὑπὸ τοῦ νόμου καὶ τῶν προφητῶν· δικαιοσύνη δὲ θεοῦ διὰ πίστεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ εἰς πάντας καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς πιστεύοντας· οὐ γάρ ἐστιν διαστολή· πάντες γὰρ ἥμαρτον καὶ ὑστεροῦνται τῆς δόξης τοῦ θεοῦ\, δικαιούμενοι δωρεὰν τῇ αὐτοῦ χάριτι διὰ τῆς ἀπολυτρώσεως τῆς ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ.\nἈνάγνωσις Εὐαγγελίου: Κατὰ Ματθαῖον  7:1-8\nΕἶπεν ὁ Κύριος· Μὴ κρίνετε\, ἵνα μὴ κριθῆτε· ἐν ᾧ γὰρ κρίματι κρίνετε κριθήσεσθε\, καὶ ἐν ᾧ μέτρῳ μετρεῖτε μετρηθήσεται ὑμῖν. τί δὲ βλέπεις τὸ κάρφος τὸ ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου\, τὴν δὲ ἐν τῷ σῷ ὀφθαλμῷ δοκὸν οὐ κατανοεῖς; ἢ πῶς ἐρεῖς τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου\, ἄφες ἐκβάλω τὸ κάρφος ἀπὸ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ σου\, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡ δοκὸς ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ σου; ὑποκριτά\, ἔκβαλε πρῶτον τὴν δοκὸν ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ σου\, καὶ τότε διαβλέψεις ἐκβαλεῖν τὸ κάρφος ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου. Μὴ δῶτε τὸ ἅγιον τοῖς κυσὶ μηδὲ βάλητε τοὺς μαργαρίτας ὑμῶν ἔμπροσθεν τῶν χοίρων\, μήποτε καταπατήσωσιν αὐτοὺς ἐν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῶν καὶ στραφέντες ῥήξωσιν ὑμᾶς. Αἰτεῖτε\, καὶ δοθήσεται ὑμῖν\, ζητεῖτε\, καὶ εὑρήσετε\, κρούετε\, καὶ ἀνοιγήσεται ὑμῖν· πᾶς γὰρ ὁ αἰτῶν λαμβάνει καὶ ὁ ζητῶν εὑρίσκει καὶ τῷ κρούοντι ἀνοιγήσεται.

For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the law\, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from law\, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it\, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction; since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God\, they are justified by his grace as a gift\, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.\nGospel Reading: Matthew 7:1-8\nThe Lord said\, “Judge not\, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged\, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye\, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother\, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye\,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite\, first take the log out of your own eye\, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine\, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you. Ask\, and it will be given you; seek\, and you will find; knock\, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives\, and he who seeks finds\, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
